This policy identifies the process for responding to and addressing client(s) grievances in a fair and consistent manner that aligns with regulatory standards, best practice, and the program mission. Objective To ensure any complaint is given due importance and has been resolved to meet the needs of the involved party/parties, through a proper procedure. To ensure all understand that grievances are opportunities for services and to grow professionally and reputably and that grievances are dealt with in a timely manner and with appropriate priorities, such as the child’s success, while listening and seeking resolution for all involved.

Shaken Baby Syndrome (Abusive HeadTrauma) Prevention Policy

This policy is designed to prevent the possibility of abusive head trauma during care. Abusive head trauma (also referred to as Shaken Baby Syndrome) occurs in infants and young children, whose neck muscles are not well-developed and whose heads are larger relative to their bodies. As a result, they are especially susceptible to head trauma caused by any type of forceful or sudden shaking, with or without blunt impact. Damage can occur in as little as 5 seconds.
